The Devil's Needle

About this book

On a rooftop in Cairo's historic Al-Hussein district, an Al-Azhar student meets an elegant figure dressed as a doctor and carrying a dark document called The Commandments of Abu Murra. Their confrontation leads into a psychological and spiritual examination of hidden control. Ahmed Al-Bayasi identifies tactics including vanity, ridicule, emotional blackmail, punitive silence, and the deliberate division of people, then counters them with self-knowledge, sound instinct, faith, and confidence in God. The Devil's Needle is both an uncanny narrative and a guide to recognizing manipulation before it captures the mind.
