My Scattered Poems

About this book

Eman Momen's collection treats poems as fragments of a self too expansive to fit within one orderly story. Classical Arabic meets the pulse of colloquial expression in an emotional archive shaped by Jerusalem, friendship, morality, destiny, love, pain, and hope. The apparent scattering is deliberate: rather than force feeling into a fixed scheme, the poet lets each text preserve the truth of its moment. Some pieces confront existential questions, others offer wisdom or spiritual consolation, and still others echo emotions readers have carried without finding words for them. The collection invites each reader to reorder their own inner fragments through poems liberated from formal neatness. It is meant as a companion whose varied voices can illuminate a difficult day, acknowledge grief, or open toward paradise.
