The Sons of Iblis

About this book

Since Adam's descent to Earth, humanity has not occupied the field of history alone. Dr. Mahmoud Khairi imagines an ancient, unseen war led by Iblis and carried forward by beings formed from envy and malice. Moving through a symbolic world before familiar time, the novel follows the descendants of Cain, the sons of the jinn, and a faction that has surrendered itself to darkness. Historical fantasy and religious allegory become a study of temptation and human choice: are people bound to a written fate, or do they participate in their own ruin? The epic ultimately turns the cosmic struggle inward, toward every person's contest between light and darkness.
