The series is represented here by Between the Coats of Memory and the Clubs of Hypocrisy, a novel exploring contradictions in Algerian society between wealth and poverty, past and present. Its homes, schools, cafés, and markets provide settings for questions of honor, injustice, forgiveness, and revenge.
